Clinics will be held at Calavera Hills Park, for three Fridays 1/20, 1/27, and 2/3 from 6:00-8:00pm, Field #1. (Minimum of one for returning umpires.) Attendance at all three is highly recommended. Attendance at a minimum of two is MANDATORY. If you are unable to attended the San Diego Rules Clinic, the only other option is to attend Eastern District Clinic on Saturday, January 28th at El Roble Elementary School in Claremont (north of LA). The clinic fee for Junior Umpires is $20. There is no pre-registration for the clinic - HOWEVER you must register as a YOUTH UMPIRE with USA Softball before the clinic (see below). Junior Umpires are trained and mentored in the art of making calls behind the plate and in the field. This group is typically made up of players that have advanced skills in their experience and have shown leadership capabilities within a team.
CSA has a Junior Umpire Program for girls who are entering their second year in the 12U division. It is for those who want to learn the game from an advanced perspective.
